A Bristol company has won a top award for its pioneering rail technology.

One Big Circle has been honoured with a King’s award for enterprise and innovation.

The company's automated intelligent video review system is now deployed across the UK's railway, capturing imagery.

This data is used to boost remote inspection capability, resulting in "smoother train journeys".

Co-founder Emily Kent said: “It is a momentous achievement to be awarded the accolade of King’s Award for Enterprise and is a fantastic reflection on our team who have worked so hard on delivering innovation with and for the UK Rail Industry.

"From our first idea and initial deployment, to now being trusted partners of the industry with thousands of people using the technology every day."

Based in Temple Meads, the company now employs 50 people.
