Part of a major route between the north of the Isle of Man and its capital is set to be closed for two days for preparation works ahead of the TT.

The closure, from the Bungalow to the Creg-ny-Baa on the A18 Mountain Road, is the second phase of necessary work ahead of the event.

It will include carriageway repairs, hedge cutting, line painting and putting up signs and equipment.

The closure will be in place between 09:00 BST on Monday and 22:00 on Tuesday.

The Department of Infrastructure also has a contingency road closure order in place for Wednesday and Thursday in case the work is delayed by weather.

Access to the northern section of the Mountain Road and businesses in the area of the Bungalow will still be available via the Tholt-y-Will Road from Sulby during the period.
