A body found on farmland has been identified as missing pensioner David Ryan, police said.

The 73-year-old was last seen near his home in Crome Road, Norwich, on 29 December.

Norfolk Police said forensic identity tests were carried out on the body, found in Bungay, in Suffolk, on 19 March. It added his death was being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.

Mr Ryan's family issued a statement and said they were "glad to know he is no longer suffering".
