A man, aged in his 50s, has died at a race circuit after the motorcycle he was riding left the track.

The motorcyclist came off the green Kawasaki ZX-10R, after leaving the track on a bend at Lydden Hill Race Circuit at around 12:50 BST on Saturday, said police.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his family has been informed, Kent Police confirmed.

A spokesperson for the motorsports venue in Wootton, near Dover, said the incident involved a single rider taking part in a No Limits track day.

She added: "Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the rider at this difficult time."
