Three ducklings have been rescued by firefighters after they got stuck in a drain.

The emergency services were called after they were spotted on a road in Weston Turville, just outside Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, at the quack of dawn on Monday.

Fire crews used specialist gear to release the animals, which were then taken to a wildlife hospital to get a clean bill of health.

"The firefighters used small gear to release the ducklings and passed them into the care of colleagues at Tiggywinkles," a Buckinghamshire fire service spokesperson said.
