A lifetime of winning competitions

Martin Dove, a retired lecturer from Scarborough, is considered something of a legend amongst his peers.

He is a "comper" - someone who enthusiastically enters competitions on almost a semi-professional basis - and he is known as one of the best.

Over the years he has won a yacht and a racehorse, as well as much smaller prizes in between, and has written books giving advice to other would-be winners.

But unlike the new breed of compers who now spend all of their time trying to enter prize draws on the internet, Martin still resolutely scans cereal boxes and crisp packets looking for the next big win.

BBC News went to meet him - and his long-suffering wife Katy.
