Councillors avoid questions about Jonathan Nunn domestic abuse allegations

Conservative politicians have refused to answer to questions about a serving councillor who is accused of choking, punching, abusing and spitting at women.

Jonathan Nunn resigned as the leader of West Northamptonshire Council earlier this month after the BBC published accounts from five of his alleged victims.

He has strenuously denied the claims, citing a campaign of harassment.

BBC Investigations Reporter, Jon Ironmonger, spoke to some of his colleagues at the Conservative group’s AGM in Towcester on Monday.
