Emergency services respond to gas leak reports in Nottingham

Emergency services have responded to reports of a gas leak in Nottingham city centre.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to Lower Parliament Street at 14:10 BST on Sunday.

Police and an environmental protection unit were at the scene, along with four fire crews.

Gas company Cadent was also called to the scene and was working to resolve the problem, a spokesman for the fire service said.

Cadent and Nottinghamshire Police have been contacted for more information.
