Barnsley assistant coach Jon Stead has been banned from the touchline for two games and fined £500 after being sent off at Charlton on Saturday, 6 April.

Stead admitted to acting in an improper manner and/or using abusive or insulting language to a match official before and after the card was issued.

The outcome was decided by an independent regulatory commission.

He will miss Tuesday's game at Portsmouth and Saturday's fixture at Blackpool, both in League One.

The former Blackburn and Sunderland striker joined Barnsley in July 2023 to work under head coach Neill Collins.
