Castleford Tigers recorded their second Super League win of the season, scoring seven tries in a resounding home victory against winless London Broncos.

The two sides were fairly evenly matched in the first 25 minutes despite Castleford leading 6-0 thanks to Jacob Miller's early opener.

But the hosts then seized full control with four tries in the final 15 minutes of the first half to stretch their lead to 30 points by the interval.

Innes Senior scored either side of half-time to take his tally of Super League tries this season to nine, one fewer than divisional leader Adam Swift of Huddersfield Giants.

Full-back Tex Hoy needed little time to make an impact on his Castleford debut following his recent departure from Hull FC, racing through gaps to set up Miller's second-minute score and the fourth for Alex Mellor.

Sandwiched in between, London were punished for failing to find touch from a penalty as Rowan Milnes grounded Paul McShane's short grubber kick, before the hooker touched down from close range for a try of his own.

Senior powered over in the corner to complete the first-half scoring and added his second shortly after the restart from Miller's wonderful lofted kick.

Senior's twin brother Louis then raced onto a low kick to take the Tigers to 40 points.

London enjoyed some attacking pressure in the final 20 minutes and almost scored a late consolation through Jarred Bassett, who was judged to have a foot in touch as he attempted to ground the ball in the corner.

That decision, confirmed by video referee Marcus Griffiths, meant the Broncos failed to register a point for the third time in 10 outings in league and cup this season and they remain bottom of the Super League table as the only side yet to win in 2024.
