Pasty Presto is the first shop to open in the Liberty Wharf development

The first shop in Jersey's Liberty Wharf development has opened.

Pasty Presto, which overlooks the Weighbridge in Liberation Square, is importing pasties from Cornwall as well as providing other products from Jersey.

Tony O'Neil, from Pasty Presto, said: "We're trying to compliment the island rather than duplicate it."

Eleven new jobs have been created in the pasty shop, the first on the island.

Mr O'Neil said: "These are something quite unique to the island, we're looking for the authenticity of Cornish-made products."
