Skegness lifeboat saves exhausted sailor

A lifeboat crew from Skegness were called out to help a lone yachtsman who had got into difficulties off the Lincolnshire coast on Friday evening.
The crew put out to sea to after coastguards alerted them to the sailor who was struggling to make progress and had become dehydrated and exhausted.
The yacht was towed towards the Humber estuary where another lifeboat crew took over the care of the sailor.
Coxswain John Irving said a quick response saved further problems.
