Bids invited for Darlington youth projects cash

Young people in Darlington who need money to put their good ideas into practice have been asked to bid for a share of £155,000 funding.
The council's youth service is distributing the government cash through a scheme called "the Dosh".
It will benefit projects and initiatives run by, and for those aged between 13 and 19.
A panel of young people will decide which will receive the support and the deadline for applications is 21 June.
Cyndi Hughes, Darlington Council's cabinet member for children and young people, said: "I would encourage any young person with an idea for a new project, or who wants investment in an on-going scheme to apply.
"Our young people are involved in so many activities and I know many more want to expand and improve the facilities on offer to them."
