Hunt for boa constrictor missing in Falkirk

  • Published

A six-foot long boa constrictor has gone missing from a tank at its owner's home in Falkirk.

Central Scotland Police have reassured neighbours in Ross Crescent, in Camelon, that the reptile does not pose a danger.

The four-year-old snake, which has been raised in captivity since birth, escaped more than a week ago.

Visiting homes in the area, officers stressed that the snake is not venomous and does not eat live food.

Anyone who sees the boa constrictor has been advised to leave it to experts and contact police or the Scottish SPCA.
