Guernsey unemployment figure remains up year on year
- Published
The number of unemployed people in Guernsey has remained higher than a year earlier, despite a drop in monthly figures.
At the end of May, 496 people were out of work, compared to 510 a month earlier and 393 in May 2009.
It means 1.54% of the working population is currently unemployed.
The figures include 25 people who were on the Community and Environmental Project Scheme and 128 who were in part time or casual employment.
