Unsigned band The Side to support Bon Jovi

Members of Bon Jovi were involved in selecting The Side

An unsigned band from the Highlands has won a competition to be a support act for US rockers Bon Jovi.

The Side recently recorded an unofficial Scottish Cup final song for Dingwall-based Ross County FC.

They will appear on stage at the O2 Arena in London on Tuesday.

They were selected from a shortlist of entries to the Open For Bon Jovi contest held by the band and its management.

The Side are vocalist and guitarist Hugh Winton, drummer John Ross, keyboards player George Campbell and bass guitarist Ryan Golder.

The band's members come from Alness, Invergordon, Dingwall and Kirkhill.
