Jersey's anthem choice 'should be debated again'

An Island Home was sung by schoolchildren on Liberation Day
The process of choosing a national anthem for Jersey should be started again, according to a States senator.
Gerard le Feuvre's composition "An Island Home" was selected by a panel and audience opinion poll two years ago following a consultation.
But James Perchard said it was never formally discussed or adopted by the States as the island's anthem.
Many islanders had expected either Beautiful Jersey or ma Normandie to be chosen.
An Island Home has been introduced at some formal occasions as the official anthem, but the senator said the choice was meant to go before the States.
He intends to ask members to begin the consultation process again.
"I do not want to see this anthem imposed on islanders without the proper process of adopting it," Mr Perchard told BBC News.
"I'm insistent it should be adopted formally before it's used at Liberation Day again or used officially to represent Jersey in the Island Games."
