Cornwall coastguards help sailor stranded in Caribbean

Cornish coastguards have helped rescue an English sailor stranded thousands of miles away in the Caribbean Sea.
The man lost rudder control off the Dominican Republic coast and was unable to contact local authorities for help.
He texted his father in London who contacted Falmouth coastguards - they in turn got in touch with the US coastguards and Dominican authorities.
The Cornish service then co-ordinated an operation which saw the Dominican Navy earlier tow the boat into port.
