No phones in Cambridgeshire village after cable theft
- Published
BT has apologised for the delay in reconnecting a Cambridgeshire village to the local telephone exchange after thieves stole copper cables.
The village of Balsham has had no telephone, broadband or fax services since 4 June.
British Telecom says the thieves caused so much damage that repair work was proving complex.
Businessman Christian Ward Thomas said as mobile phone reception was very unreliable it had affected him badly.
