Essex village post office opens after two years

A post office which was closed down two years ago has reopened following a campaign by villagers in Essex.
East Mersea post office is the latest in a number of branches to re-open following assistance from Essex County Council.
The owners of the village store, Brien and Linda Roberts, have worked over the past 18 months to persuade Post Office Ltd to restore the service.
They won a grant under an Essex County council scheme to save post offices.
