Scottish Borders housing chief set to stand down

The chief executive of Scottish Borders Housing Association is to stand down after nearly 10 years in the post.

Janice Cambridge has been at the helm since the social landlord was first set up in 2001.

She oversaw the association's takeover of Scottish Borders Council's housing stock in 2003.

Ms Cambridge announced her decision to stand down at this week's board meeting of the housing association - giving six months' notice.

SBHA is the landlord for nearly 6,000 homes in the south east of Scotland.

It employs about 200 people and has its head office in Selkirk.
