US President Barack Obama and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev have hailed an improvement in relations between their two countries following talks in Washington
Mr Obama said the pair had "succeeded at resetting our relationship".
The two leaders ate hamburgers and chips at Ray's Hell-Burger restaurant in Arlington, Virginia, accompanied by their translators.
The two first ladies, Michelle Obama and Svetlana Medvedeva, visited the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington to watch students perform a music and dance programme.
Mr Obama and Mr Medvedev took a relaxed walk through Lafayette Park from the White House to attend a meeting at the US Chamber of Commerce.
Mr Obama said he wanted to improve links with Moscow and the US would back Russia's accession to the World Trade Organisation.
