Mobile classrooms to boost Bristol school places
- Published
Twenty-two mobile classrooms are being delivered to six Bristol schools in an attempt to meet the demand for primary school places.
A Bristol City Council spokeswoman said the move followed "intense demand" for reception places in parts of the city.
"As well as these extra classrooms, we will also be opening new buildings at Ashley Down Junior School later this year," she added.
The work will make an extra 355 places for four and five-year-old children.
The first of the temporary classrooms will be installed at Barton Hill Primary this weekend.
Other schools to benefit include Glenfrome, May Park, Millpond, Stoke Bishop and Waycroft.
