Newquay swimmer search called off after second day

The search for a swimmer who went missing off a beach in Cornwall at the weekend has been called off after a second day.
Search teams were combing the shoreline again on Monday after a 22-year-old student got into difficulties swimming off Newquay on Sunday.
Lifeguards, coastguard teams and RNLI crews were at Fistral beach.
The Indonesian man was with a group of friends from university in Newcastle when the incident happened.
'Overpowering' conditions
The alarm was raised by a surfer who spotted the man and a woman in trouble in the water at the beach at about 1645 BST on Sunday.
The surfer rescued the woman but was unable to reach the man.
The Indonesian woman, who has not been named, is in a stable condition at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) said the surfer had been heading towards the pair to offer them help but was knocked off his board. When he got back on, the man could no longer be seen.
The MCA said the missing man and the woman "became overpowered by the sea conditions".
Coastguard conducted a search of Fistral Bay and its surrounding bays on Sunday.
The search on Monday was called off in the early evening.
