Flood risk study by three Essex councils gets under way
- Published
A study looking at the risk of flooding in parts of Essex is under way to help plan for new homes, jobs and emergencies.
The Strategic Flood Risk Assessment Review (SFRA) has been ordered by Basildon, Rochford and Castle Point councils to help with local planning.
The study includes mapping of areas which could be worst affected if flood defences are breached.
It is hoped the study will be completed by autumn 2010.
