Early tickets released for Edinburgh Hogmanay party

The street party tickets have gone on sale in summer for the first time
Tickets for Edinburgh's annual Hogmanay street party have gone on sale.
Organisers of the event said it was the first time the passes were being made available in the summer, to allow people to make advance plans.
The 'Early Bird' promotion will offer a limited number of tickets for £10, before the price rises to £15.
Last year 80,000 revellers attended the street party. The full programme for Edinburgh's Hogmanay celebrations will be announced in October.
Councillor Steve Cardownie, festivals and events champion for the City of Edinburgh, said: "This is the first time we've ever made street party tickets available as early as this, meaning people can have their Hogmanay plans sorted well in advance."
