Jersey parents offered web safety tips

Parents are being invited to learn more about how to protect their children from inappropriate internet content.

Jersey's child protection committee is asking parents to contact it to gauge interest in a seminar on the subject of internet safety.

It follows concerns about an increase in the number of indecent pictures of children on the internet taken by website cameras.

The committee said families needed to be aware of the risks of exploitation.
