Murder accused Colin Howell to face new assault charges

A dentist accused of murdering his wife and his lover's husband is facing new charges of indecent assault.
Colin Howell, 51, of Glebe Road, Castlerock, was in court in Coleraine on Monday charged with 17 counts of indecent assault against six women.
The abuse is alleged to have taken place at his dental practice over a 10-year period from 1998 to 2008.
Mr Howell and Hazel Stewart are to stand trial for the murder of Leslie Howell and Trevor Buchanan in 1991.
Their bodies were found in a fume-filled car in Castlerock on 19 May 1991.
A coroner originally ruled that Mrs Howell and RUC constable Mr Buchanan had taken their own lives, but the case was reopened last year after new information was given to the police.
Mr Howell and Mrs Stewart, of Ballystrone Road, Coleraine, deny murdering their spouses and are due to stand trial later this year.
Mr Howell, who has been in custody at Maghaberry Prison since his arrest, will face a separate trial for the indecent assault charges.
