Dawlish Air Show fights to balance books
- Published
Organisers of one of Devon's big summer events are battling to raise money to secure its long-term future.
Each year about 80,000 people visit the Dawlish Air Show which regularly features the Red Arrows.
But in June, organisers had raised only £750 for the airshow which is on 19 August.
Local contributors stepped in with £20,000 to keep the show on, but organisers still need another £5,000 to cover all the costs.
Organiser James Hill said: "It can't get much more precarious.
"The show was within days of folding."
