A woman has appeared in court accused of stabbing Labour MP Stephen Timms at a constituency surgery.
Roshonara Choudhary, 21, of Central Park Road, East Ham, east London, is charged with attempted murder and possessing an offensive weapon.
She refused to enter a plea when appearing at the Old Bailey via videolink.
Judge Christopher Moss said a not guilty plea should be entered on her behalf.
Mr Timms, the former treasury minister and MP for East Ham, was attacked in May.
Ms Choudhary is due to stand trial on 1 November.
