A teenager has been charged with murder after a man died in a Derbyshire village.

Police said officers were called to Addison Street in Tibshelf at 20:37 BST on Tuesday.

A man in his 40s was discovered with serious injuries but was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 17-year-old boy, who can’t be named for legal reasons, has been charged with murder.

He appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and he was in custody to appear at Derby Crown Court on Friday.
