Man in his 70s dies after tree fall

Police were called to the scene at around 11:30 yesterday morning

A man in his 70s has died after a tree fell on him on Tuesday morning.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident at Bowd's Lane near Lyneham, Wiltshire Police said.

The force said officers were called to the scene by the ambulance service just after 11.30 BST, and that the man died at the scene.

Wiltshire Police said the man's family have been informed.

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service were also at the scene, with crews from Royal Wootton Bassett and Westlea.
