A free guided audio tour of Hull's music history is now available for people to listen to and follow through the city.

Starting in Queen Victoria Square, listeners can take an hour-long walk around the Old Town while listening to the recording.

Narrated by comedian Lucy Beaumont, the recording guides listeners through the music history of iconic sites in the city.

The immersive tour, titled Diamond Life, was a collaboration between Hull City Council, Visit Hull and East Yorkshire, and artist collective Mutiny.

Ten orange markers along the route will also contain bonus material that listeners can access by scanning a QR code.

Several well-known voices were included in the tour, including Hull musician Roland Gift from Fine Young Cannibals, folk legends Eliza and Martin Carthy, and industrial music pioneer Cosey Fanni Tutti.

In addition to the trail, the Reveal Hull website, external has included the full interviews and biographies of each artist who is featured.

In particular, it included an archive interview with David Bowie's Spiders from Mars guitarist Mick Ronson, who is being honoured in a separate art project in the city next year.
