Boy, 5, critical after being hit by car

A five-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital after he was hit by a car in North East Lincolnshire.

Humberside Police said the child was struck by a silver Kia Venga in North Sea Lane in Cleethorpes just before 16:00 GMT on Saturday.

Emergency Services were called and the boy was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries, which are said to be life-threatening.

Anyone with information about the incident, or who may have relevant footage of what happened, is being asked to contact police.
