Three injured after two-car crash in Kelso

Three people were injured in a two-car crash in the Borders on Saturday afternoon.

Emergency services were called out to the incident on the B6350 in Kelso near its junction with Pinnaclehill Park at about 14:55.

A 21-year-old man and 22-year-old woman who were travelling in a grey Ford Fiesta were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with "serious but not life-threatening" injuries.

The 48-year-old man driving the Audi Q2 involved was taken to the same hospital with "non life-threatening" injuries.

The road was closed for more than five hours and reopened at about 20:30.

PC Drew Davidson said inquiries were ongoing and anyone with information or dash cam footage should get in touch.
