Officers are appealing for witnesses after a 17-year-old cyclist was injured in a hit-and-run in Nottingham.

Police said the boy was riding along Broxtowe Lane in Cinderhill at about 08:10 BST on 2 October when he was hit by a car at the junction with Biant Close.

He was taken to hospital with lacerations to his leg, arm and hands.

In an appeal launched on Saturday, the force said the car involved was reported to have left the scene.

PC Martin Giddy said: "We are working to track down the driver involved and have carried out extensive investigations in the local area.

"We would now like to appeal to any additional witnesses who saw any part of this incident."
