Overnight closure warning for 'Missing Link' work

The finished project will feature a new three-mile (4.8km) section of dual carriageway

Drivers have been warned to plan ahead as roadworks will close a major road for five nights.
The A417 in Gloucestershire will be shut between the A46 Brockworth junction and Air Balloon roundabout from 21:00 to 06:00 BST every night between Monday 29 September and Saturday 4 October.
The closure will enable surveys, traffic management and utility works to be carried out as part of the 'Missing Link' project, which is creating a new £460m three-mile (4.8km) dual carriageway to ease traffic between Gloucester, Cirencester and Swindon.
Fully-signed diversion routes will be in operation throughout the closures.

A new interchange is being build at Shab Hill
Celine Acord, Senior Project Manager for the scheme, said safety was paramount.
"This is why we're closing overnight when the traffic flow is at the lowest," she added.
"We know we have an impact on the (local) communities and people driving on the road, so we do everything we can to minimise the disruption.
"In the long term the road will be a free-flowing one, you won't have any roundabouts and it will definitely be safer than what we've got at the minute."
