Two more arrests over fatal hit-and-run

Two more arrests have been made over a fatal hit-and-run, police have said.

Thames Valley Police were called to Bay Road in Bracknell, Berkshire, at 22:30 GMT on 24 February, where a pedestrian, Tania Goswell, had been involved in a serious collision with a black Ford.

She died in hospital the following day.

On 20 March, officers arrested a 52-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman, both from Bracknell, on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice. Both were released under investigation.

Police previously arrested a 32-year-old man from Bracknell on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, driving with no insurance, and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.

And a 30-year-old woman, also from Bracknell, was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, assisting an offender, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.

Both were released under investigation.

Investigating officer Det Sgt Lyndsey Blackaby said she was pleased two more people had been arrested, but they were still appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dash-cam footage, to come forward.
