A man has been arrested after the woman fell from the vehicle in Sheffield on Friday morning

Police have issued a fresh appeal for information after a woman fell from a moving car in Sheffield, suffering life-threatening injuries.

The woman, in her 30s, remains in hospital after the incident, which took place on Burncross Road in Chapeltown at about 06:30 BST on Friday.

Officers asked witnesses and anyone with relevant video footage to come forward to help with their investigations.

A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and later released on conditional bail pending further investigations, South Yorkshire Police said.
