A man is being treated in hospital with serious injuries after he was found near a bus shelter.

The man in his 40s was found by members of the public in the shelter on Redhill Road in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, at about 20:30 BST on Monday.

Hertfordshire Police urged those with dashcam footage from the area between 18:00 and 19:45 to contact them.

Det Con Beth Stevens said: "Inquiries are ongoing to establish how the man came to sustain the injuries, and we are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward."
