Allan Donaldson said the lambs near Ambrisbeg on Bute were running around and playing in the fields this week. "This was taken not long before sunset when they started to settle down for the evening," he added.

Colin Ferrington took this photo of Glen Dochart on an early morning walk near Killin.

"Whilst camping in Ayrshire, at the head of Loch Doon, we witnessed this beautiful sunset," said Gavin Rorison. "It was made even better by lack of midges this time of year."

"Lambing snow giving the Cuillin mountains a final dusting on the Isle of Skye," said David Fowlie.

Alan Mackay photographed a pine marten climbing a tree for food at Kinlochleven.

"My best friend Bonnie using 100% of her focus trying to catch a stick I threw from the banks of Castle Semple Loch," said Dave Baird. "Sadly, she did not catch the stick."

Pat Christie knitted these poppies alongside some local women to decorate the railings of the Seabird Centre in North Berwick to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

Jez Campbell said he had seen some great sunsets lately, including this view from Kilchoan, Ardnamurchan.

Donna Reekie glimpsed the sun from behind the "silvery curves" of the Glasgow Hydro while she was waiting for the doors to open for the Twenty One Pilots concert.

George Stewart said: "This is a snap of the tugboat Hopetoun spreading its wings while putting on a fantastic display with its water cannons. This was close to the Forth Bridge and I was at North Queensferry at the time."

Mark Reynolds took this picture of Eilean Donan Castle sparkling in the late spring sunlight.

Krystal Hanley took this photo of the grounds of Aberdour Castle in Fife.

Steven McIvor said: "This urban fox wasn't shy when he popped out of the shadows to catch some sunshine in East Kilbride."

Alex Macleod said: "I spent the weekend at Bonfest in Kirriemuir with AC/DC fans from all over the globe gathering to celebrate the music of Bon and the boys. The village was bedecked in all things AC/DC and the Peter Pan statue got his own cut-off denim."

Louise Love said: "While enjoying an evening on a sandy beach at Gairloch, I was lucky to get a shot of a sunset occurring at the same time as high tide when the water could reach past the large sandy area and move through the stones."
