Man charged with murder after woman found dead

A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead.

Wayne Bond, 44, has been accused of killing Rebecca Simkin, 31, whose body was found at a property on Newport Road, Stafford, on Monday.

Staffordshire Police said officers discovered her body after they were called to the address shortly before 10:30 BST.

Mr Bond, from Stafford, is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday.

Specialist officers are continuing to support Ms Simkin's family, a police spokesperson said.
