Six men have been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to steal, following an eight-month operation targeting rural crime in Shropshire and Powys.

West Mercia Police said the men, aged between 24 and 35, were arrested in raids on Wednesday.

A seventh man, who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary during the same raids was released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The force said the charges relate to burglaries between July 2023 and March 2024.

The six, from Broseley, Telford, Cross Houses and Wolverhampton, are all in custody and due to appear before magistrates in Kidderminster on Thursday.
