Three men and teen charged with violent disorder

Three men and a teenage girl have been charged as part of an ongoing police investigation into violent disorder in Staffordshire.

Ian Green, 55, of Kettlebrook, Tamworth; Lee Grocott, 48, of Stoke-on-Trent and Danny Hollick, 41 and from Tamworth, have been charged with violent disorder.

A 17-year-old girl from Tamworth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has also been charged with the same offence.

Staffordshire Police said 83 people had now been arrested and a total of 34 charged following the riots and violent protests in Stoke-on-Trent on 3 August and Tamworth on 4 August.

Mr Grocott was remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 20 September.

Mr Hollick and Mr Green were both remanded in custody ahead of their next appearance at Stafford Crown Court on 25 September.

The 17-year-old girl is due to appear at Cannock Magistrates' Court on 7 November.
