A 90-year-old woman has been seriously injured after she was hit by a van at a pedestrian crossing in Hereford.

Police said the woman pedestrian suffered serious injuries, considered to be life-changing.

She was hit by the van in Holme Lacy Road at about 18:20 GMT on Monday, a spokesman for West Mercia Police said.

Officers have said the driver of the van is helping police with inquiries. Witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage are asked to contact the force.
