Clocktower nest box plan for peregrine falcons

A nest box for a pair of peregrine falcons could be installed on the clock tower at Bradford City Hall.
A Bradford Council spokesperson said it was hoped the new box would encourage the birds to breed.
The pair have regularly been seen feeding and interacting at the site but have not yet bred successfully.
Danny Jackson, the council's countryside service manager, said: "We also hope to be able to install CCTV cameras so that people from across the world can follow their progress."
A planning application has been submitted to ensure there would be no negative impacts on the Grade I-listed building as a result of the installation.
Mr Jackson said the box would "help this magnificent pair of birds with their breeding".
The project is part of the Bradford Peregrine Trail Project, which is funded by Natural England and run by Bradford Urban Wildlife Group, Bradford Peregrines and Bradford Council.
Nest boxes have already been installed at Lister's Mill in Manningham and Damart Mill in Bingley.
Paul Redmond, chair of Bradford Urban Wildlife Group said the latest plans were an "exciting step" for the scheme.
"Our beautiful landmark buildings have brought these birds into Bradford's urban environment," he said.
"I hope that everyone takes the opportunity to watch these birds which often go unnoticed, living high up above us."
