British pop and ska band Madness are to mark their 50th anniversary by joining the line-up for Lincoln Castle's 2026 summer series of concerts.
The group will headline at the castle on 19 June, making a "welcome return" since their previous sold-out performance in 2024, say promoters.
Mark Harrison, from promoters Cuffe & Taylor, said: "Madness are the ultimate crowd-pleasers, their live shows are pure joy, packed with hits and full of character.
"They headlined an incredible show here at Lincoln Castle in 2024 and ever since fans have been asking for them to return".

Formed in 1976, the band will celebrate their milestone 50th anniversary on the music scene with their upcoming album, Hit Parade, featuring tracks from across their whole career, and with their live performance at Lincoln Castle.
With 31 Top 40 singles, 11 UK Top 10 albums and an Ivor Novello Award, the band have become one of the UK's most recognisable names - responsible for hits including Our House, It Must Be Love, Baggy Trousers and House of Fun.

The concerts are part of a partnership between Lincolnshire County Council and Live Nation promoters Cuffe & Taylor to bring artists to perform in a historic location.
Tom Grennan, Billy Ocean, Pete Tong Ibiza Classics and David Gray are all set to perform within the medieval walls of Lincoln Castle next year.
Councillor Natalie Oliver, executive member for culture at Lincolnshire County Council, said: "Madness' sell-out performance was a highlight of Live at Lincoln Castle's first summer concert season in 2024, so it's brilliant to welcome the Nutty Boys back for more."
Tickets will go on general sale at 10:00 GMT on 31 October from the Lincoln Castle and Ticketmaster websites.
