Air ambulance called to crash on M25 access road

An air ambulance was sent to a crash that closed part of a road used to access the M25 motorway in Hertfordshire.

The A405 North Orbital Road was closed northbound at Bricket Wood, to the north of Watford.

National Highways reported at 08:30 BST that emergency services, including an air ambulance, were at the scene.

The Inrix travel service reported that a car, a van and a motorbike were involved in the collision on the dual carriageway, which is also used by traffic coming off the M1.

A Hertfordshire Police spokesperson confirmed that the "serious" crash happened at the roundabout for junction 21A of the M25 at Chiswell Green.

The road was reopened shortly before 11:00.
