This year's Pride event in Swindon has been given the green light with organisers now asking volunteers to come forward to help run the celebrations.
Run by charity Swindon and Wiltshire Pride, which was a finalist at the British LGBT Awards last week, the event takes place on 10 August at GWR Park and features a parade and musical performances.
Organisers said volunteers are required from the day before and will be doing things such as marshalling, litter picking and setting up.
Acts on the day include the likes of Drag Race UK star Victoria Scone, X Factor icons the Cheeky Girls and a Taylor Swift tribute.
Volunteer manager Mark Wheeler said: "Volunteers are required from Friday 9 August to 11 August and roles may include helping set up and close down the site, monitoring the gates, supporting stalls and litter picking.
"Volunteers are the lifeblood of our event and we appreciate everyone who supports us.”
Chairperson Paul Stewart said: “Volunteering at Swindon & Wiltshire Pride 2024 isn’t just about supporting an incredible event - it’s about being part of a vibrant, inclusive community.
"Your contribution helps make this celebration possible."
