A cordon surrounding the site of a suspected explosion in Jersey has been reduced, emergency services have said.

A family of four were taken to hospital after neighbours heard an "enormous bang" at a property in the Mont Pinel area of St Saviour on Wednesday 26 June.

The cordon has been moved to the end of the affected terrace and residents from Douro Court, who had been displaced, were told they could return home.

A total of four homes still inside the cordon remained under States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service management due to stabilisation works, the government said.

It added that it was continuing to support the families affected.
